My hope is that students will build upon their art skills, feel good about themselves, and be proud of the artwork they create. I am absolutely amazed every day by the creativity, hard work, and problem-solving skills of our students here at Johnson Elementary!

I joined Johnson in 2012 as the music teacher, and I consider Johnson to be my home.
My "end in mind" is to instill a love of music in every child. Watching children grow as musicians and as people is such a rewarding experience! A unique bond is formed when we sing, play, perform, interpret and respond to music together.

Johnson Elementary Physical Education
Instructor: Mr. Idlette
My name is Wesley Idlette. I've been teaching at Johnson since 2012, and I have a degree in Health & Physical Education from Maryville College. I also coach wrestling and football at John Sevier Middle School.
In my physical education classes at Johnson, students learn techniques to improve their motor skills and coordination, as well as overall physical fitness, through various activities. I design classes to implement a variety of skills and team building activities to make class enjoyable and beneficial for students. Some activities we incorporate in PE class are soccer, basketball, gymnastics, volleyball, badminton, bicycling, roller blading, floor hockey, cardio fitness, and more.
Please remember to pack tennis shoes to ensure safe participation in PE activities.
