KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Eight Kingsport City Schools administrators have been appointed by the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE) to the 2016 Board of Examiners. Every year, the TNCPE Award Program recognizes local, regional and statewide organizations that demonstrate excellence in business operations and results.  KCS employees named as examiners include Dr. Holly Flora, Christy Free, Michael Hubbard, Dr. Kyle Loudermilk, Dr. Stephanie Potter, Kelli Seymour, Dr. Krissy Turner and Jim Wernke.

“I am excited to have another group of excellent individuals from KCS serving as TNCPE examiners,” said Superintendent Dr. Lyle Ailshie. “To assist organizations across Tennessee in their growth and development is important work.  The opportunity to also take that knowledge and further develop performance excellence within Kingsport City Schools is vital as we continue to strive toward becoming a world-class school system.”

Examiners are responsible for reviewing and evaluating organizations that apply for the TNCPE Award.  The Board of Examiners comprises experts from all sectors of the regional economy, including health care, service, non-profit, manufacturing, education and government.  All members of the Board of Examiners must complete extensive training in the Baldrige Excellence Framework™,  a nationally recognized framework that represents the leading edge of validated leadership and performance practice.

Examiners take the skills and expertise developed during training and the assessment process back to their own jobs, benefiting and improving their own organizations and helping make Tennessee a better place to live and work. Each year, the TNCPE Board of Examiners contributes more than 10,000 hours of volunteer service to organizations across Tennessee.
