Johnson Elementary has achieved outstanding results in school and student outcomes by implementing The Leader in Me process with fidelity and due to the extraordinary impact the program is having on staff, students, parents, and the greater community.

The KCS Data Dashboard reflects a wide variety of data regarding student and staff achievements and results. The dashboard serves as a way to share a more complete story of what is taking place across KCS beyond what a state report or set of test scores can.

The Board will hold regular monthly board meetings on the second Tuesday at 6 p.m. and regular monthly work sessions on the fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m. The meetings include a public comment period on agenda items. All meetings are open to the public and all are encouraged to attend.

Dr. Stacy Edwards, Principal at Johnson Elementary School and Dr. Brian Partin, Principal at Robinson Middle School, have been selected as 2019 National Distinguished Principals (NDP) from Tennessee.

You are invited to a Ribbon Cutting ceremony to showcase the new community-built Castle of Kingsport playground on March 22, 2019 at 10:30 a.m.

All are invited to The Castle Playground and take their final photo (between now and the night of Thursday, December 20, 2018) at the iconic wooden play structure located on Johnson Elementary School property, before it will be demolished and replaced.

Construction on the new Castle Playground will take place March 5-10.
